Odes are extremely devoted creatures. They have very specific ideas as to what is important in life and what is not. Each Ode comes to their own conclusion about their priorities and this Ode’s priority is his favorite pair of socks. Once a priority is known to an Ode there is nothing else in their life but that purpose or object. He wore the hat to impress upon you the formality of the occasion and the grandeur of his red socks.
